Before we begin, for your viewing and giggling pleasure,
I have the official Sweet Evil Book Trailer from HarperTeen:
We're getting close to the May 1st release date, and I'm so excited that I want to do a giveaway! I had already planned to give away two signed copies of the final book as soon as I receive them (which means winners could possibly have it before the release date.) But then I got a message from the publishers saying they have five extra ARCs they'd like me to give away, too! I also have a handful of signed bookmarks that I'd love to put in your hot little hands. So lots of chances to win. The two signed copies and bookmarks are up for grabs internationally, and the five ARCs are available to those in the US.
~ I've created a quick reading survey. There are NO right answers - it's just for fun, and I guess I'm kinda curious about the answers. :) TAKE SURVEY NOW.
~ Leave a comment on this post letting me know that you completed the survey. And if you feel the need to explain any of your answers, you're free to do so in the comments, hehe.
That's it! I should probably make you do something like a scavenger hunt or follow me on all of my social media accounts or, you know, something that requires creativity and time, but I'm a slacker (and a teensy bit busy preparing for the blog tour...deets to come). Sometimes easy is just good.
This contest will only last 24 hours! Winners will be announced right here tomorrow at 9PM Eastern (along with survey results).
Big hugs and best of luck,

I did the survey and good questions
ReplyDeleteI took the quiz, although number three's answer is skewed, because it totally depends on the book. Some books need romance, but others are better without. *shrugs*
ReplyDeleteThanks for the epic giveaway!!!

Very true! :) I guess it's just looking for what you'd lean toward more, but it really does depend.
DeleteI've taken the survey! :) My name will show up as Lauren Goff. Thanks for the giveaway, I can't wait to read the book! The cover is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI took the survey and can't wait to read SWEET EVIL! (Especially since I already mistook the hot love interest as a real guy. Bummer.) LOL!

ReplyDeleteAna (thebookhookup.com)
AHHH!(head is spinning/ fainted). I have been dying to read this book & the trailer just finalized it. I NEED IT. Took the survey (i use survey monkey too). Also, what's this I hear about a blog tour?
ReplyDeleteLisseth @read-a-holicz.blogspot.com
Ooh-la-la! It starts April 23rd. I think there are 12 stops. I'll post all of the details very soon!
DeleteYay! Can't wait.
DeleteTook the survey. Loved it, well anything dealing with books is pretty fun.
ReplyDeleteAhhh thanks so much for this giveaway! <3 Awesome survey! Though I agree with Christina, it ultimately depends. Sometimes I LOVE a good romance but other times I love a book that completely lacks it. I love it..but I don't necessarily need it? I don't know if that makes sense. :P
ReplyDeleteMy name should come up as Alice S. Thanks so much for the giveaway again! <3 I can't wait to read Sweet Evil!
Completed the survey! I'm super excited for Sweet Evil!! =)
ReplyDeleteventurinhawendy(at)gmail(dot)com

ReplyDeleteI did the survey ! It was actually kind of hard, because I wanted to pick multiple answers.
ReplyDeletekathie.coates@gmail.com
Took the survey. Hard questions!! :) I love both character-driven and plot-driven, depending on the book. I'm also a fan of love triangles if they are written well.
ReplyDeleteOh and yeah, I fall for all the hot literary boys ;) I went with mysterious though..haha!
I took the survey! I have been DYING to read this book! Every time I see it on a blog post, it's like it is taunting me! Thank you very much for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteWell, it IS Kai's job to tempt you...
DeleteI filled the survey out :) Ended up really thinking about some of those questions haha
ReplyDeleteCompleted the survey!! Cannot wait to read to Sweet Evil!!<3
ReplyDeleteamandapedulla21@hotmail.com
Took the survey loved the last question so hard to answer!
ReplyDeleteFun survey. On the last question I like a bit of all three. Balance is good. Though I really do need good character to follow.
ReplyDeleteAwesome survey! Hopefully you'll do a blog post with the average results. It would be fun to see what everyone's tastes are.
ReplyDeleteThanks again for the giveaway!
That's a great idea! I think I'll do that when I announce the winners. :)
DeleteI loved that survey! I was having a hard time picking which type of boy I liked best until I say the last choice that let us say all! lol Thank you for the giveaway and I can't wait to finally read Sweet Evil soon! :)

ReplyDeleteluarroyave(at)hotmail(dot)com
What a fun survey! :) I hope you post the results... I'd be interested to see what people picked! For that question about my type of YA boy -- I totally picked ALL THE BOYS but I do tend to lean towards the nicer ones. Thanks so much for the giveaway and questionnaire! <3
ReplyDeleteSonia
I did the survey, hope that helps your curiousity! :) Thanks so much for doing this giveaway. I can't wait to read Sweet Evil! It was actually my Waiting on Wednesday pick this week on my blog.
ReplyDeleteP.S. LOVED the trailer. Now I'm even more excited!
That was a fun survey! Thank you for the awesome giveaway! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway! I filled out the survey! The cover of your book looks SOOOO GOOD!!! xo
ReplyDeleteSurvey COMPLETED! Oh, and I didn't pick vampires because they are just so overrated to me :) No hard feelings? But how I love angel books! :D
ReplyDeleteNo hurt feelings here...I've never written a vampire book (but I still love most of the ones I read, lol!)
DeleteI like 'em but after a while it's just ..flat line. :)
DeleteI did the survey! :) Great questions!
ReplyDeleteGreat survey! I have such a hard time answering questions. Would love to see the results! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThat was a fun survey! Thanks so much for doing this giveaway. I can't wait to read Sweet Evil!
ReplyDeleteDone! Great questions. :) And thank you for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteTook the survery. And thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteAwesome giveaway! And I can't wait for SWEET EVIL to come out. On the survey, I clicked that I didn't read SWEET EVIL even though I did read the early version of it on Inkpop when it had a different title :D
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for this awesome giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI completed the survey. :)
Memrie @ Dark Angel Reader
darkangel231988(at)gmail(dot)com
I just took the survey. I answered that I had read Sweet Evil, but really I've only read a chapter or two, back when it was on inkpop. Even back then I remember thinking that the writing was really good. Now I feel proud that I picked it. :)
ReplyDeleteelanor_gamgee at yahoo dot ca
done and done!!!!! im soooooo dieing to get my hand on this baby!!! i hear its just sexy as hell!!!!
ReplyDeleteTara
Doneeee! You won't mind if I start blabbing on about my reasons for choosing the answers I chose..right? hahaa...anyway, for the "love triangles question" my answer would usually be "I hate them, but I make exceptions for ones that are written well" :)And I pretty much like EVERY supernatural creature :D Yepp...that's all from me! Thank you so much for the opportunity to win & making it international!
ReplyDeletexx
Great questions! I had to really think about my answer on the favorite fiction question. I like the twists and turns, but tone and word choice is important, too. All of the above?! And the paranormal creatures? Edward will never ruin vampires for me - first there was Lestat and then Eric Northman. *faints*
ReplyDeleteThanks for the fantastic giveaway. :-)
Took the survey and I liked the questions you asked. I'm dying to read Sweet Evil, so I really hope I win!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the giveaway! I am so in love with Sweet Evil (and Kaidan) :-) that it's killing me to have to return Pam's ARC back to her and wait a few more weeks to pick up my finished copy.
ReplyDeleteThe question about romance in a story had me torn. I love romance but only when it's worked in well and is key to the story. It bugs me when a book tosses in a romance just for the sake of having a romance and it seems to pop out of nowhere.
Wow...that was one hard and fast survey!! >.< I loooove love triangles but it's not if they're well written or not...but if they fit the story...as well as the kind of writing I enjoy the most...I love being kept on edge but I LOVE it when the writer's imagination and talent shows on the words he/she uses when writing :D
ReplyDeleteI have YET YET YET to read Sweet Evil and thanks to a blogger now I'm DYING! *-* I NEED it!
Thanks for this!!!
~bookmarks, here I come for you~
Thank you for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteFor me, a book has to have (heavy) romance for me to enjoy and love it! Also, about the kind of writing question - that was really hard but I had to go with Commercial: character driven - just because I tend to care for the characters more than the plot or writing :)
Thank you so much for this giveaway! I've wanted to read Sweet Evil ever since I heard about in on a blog a couple of weeks ago and I'm so glad I decided to check in on your website today! I had a relatively easy time answering all the questions, until I got to the question asking which style of fiction writing I enjoyed most. In the end I chose 'character-driven', because the chemistry between the characters and their relationships has always been really important to me, although of course, I enjoy a riveting plot and smooth, poetic descriptions. Anyway, thanks for the survey and giveaway, and even if I don't win I'll definitely be purchasing a copy, because this is a book that belongs to be on my bookshelf!
ReplyDeleteTook the survey!
ReplyDeleteI had trouble deciding between the styles of fiction question. My true answer would have been ALL of them. It depends on each book.
Great trailer and I can't wait for the book to be released! :)
I struggled with the last one. I like all types of boys!! ;)
ReplyDeleteLoved the survey and can'tait to get my hands on this book
ReplyDeleteTook the survey! May 1 is a day of many awesome releases! :)
ReplyDeleteCouldn't get the comment box to show up, so I'm making a reply on the last comment! I can't wait to read this one!!
DeleteThanks so much for the giveaway! I just completed the survey! I am absolutely dying to read the finished copy of SWEET EVIL. I read a bit of it before, lo those many years ago when it was titled ANGEL PROPHECY and I added it to my picks! It's so inspirational to see an inkie out there -- published! I wish you the best in all endeavors!
ReplyDeleteGreat survey and questions! Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI simply cannot wait for Sweet Evil - It looks so great, and I really love your cover :)
ReplyDeleteFor 3 - I don't really care if it has romance or not - I love it if it has it, I usually love it if it doesn't.
Thanks for having this giveaway! :) And the survey was fun - even though most of my answers I had to choose 'I love them all!' because I have trouble picking one answer :)
ReplyDeleteTook the survey as Rachelle. Probably should have put that in the actual survey. lol
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the dark and mysterious guys, they're totally swoon worthy.
Thanks for the giveaway and I hope I win because Sweet Evil was awesome!
Took the survey and had so much fun answering it. Also a big thanks for making it International. I'm absolutely dying to read Sweet Evil. I've been dying ever since I saw the gorgeous cover. :)
ReplyDeleteOnly winning a copy will revive me? (Ok, that was lame, but still)
Just took the survey! =) Thanks for the awesome giveaway.
ReplyDeleteJust finished the survey!!
ReplyDeleteNice questions on there! :)
Thank you for such a lovely giveaway and chance to win. Sweet Evil sounds really good. Especially from the reviews I've been reading about! Can't wait to get my hands on it!
About my answers, honestly a book doesn't always need to be focused on a love interest. As long as the plot is interesting and keeps you pulled in, what else could you really ask for? * well a little romance always adds a little spice!*
Thanks again!
Here's to hoping for a win! ;P
I just took the survey! I mostly picked I love them all for the answer because I couldn't choose!
ReplyDeleteFinished the survey. Really good questions! Thanks for making the giveaway international, very often I get all excited about people giving away awesome stuff only to see a note at the end saying 'oh by the way it's US only...'
ReplyDeleteAbout my answers:
In the paranormal characters question: I'm getting into Reaper stories at the moment... but faeries and vamps are still my faves.
Styles of fiction: I ticked literary because enjoy imagery and like seeing an author choose their words carefully to paint a picture in my mind, but too much description can get tiring. I need well-developped characters, too! I'm not much of a plot-focused person though, I don't mind a slow moving book. If the writing is too fast-paced it leaves me a bit breathless - give those poor characters some time to cope with what's going on, haha ^^''
I really hope I win because I can't wait to read your book :)
Done! Your survey left me thinking about the last book I just read.
ReplyDeleteFinished the survey! Thanks so much for the contest! :)
ReplyDeletetirachii(at)yahoo(dot)com
Hi! I finished the survey and I really enjoyed it... it really made me think about what I liked in a story and stuff... I usually just pick it up if I like it. Thanks for the contest!
ReplyDeleteI finished the survey....and I think that all my answers speak for themselves :-)
ReplyDeleteawesome survey
ReplyDeletedon't enter me
kk :)
Delete*sings* I diiiiid it, I diiiiid it :D
ReplyDeleteAnd you don't actually have to enter me into the giveaway. On May 1st I want to be in the store buying it >:D
*tackle hugs*
DeleteI finished the survey and thanks for the giveaway : )
ReplyDeleteI filled out the survey - good questions! The one tht was the hardest was what kind of book usually like to read. I do love a good plot-driven book, but character driven books can be just as good (and with good characters they can be better!). And literary reads can be amazing as well!
ReplyDeleteFun questions :-D
ReplyDeleteI know. I've already read your awesome book, but it was Kelley's, and I want my own, lol.
I filled out the survey. This is actually a much cooler way of doing giveaways -- these surveys are so much fun! I really do like character-driven things the most.
ReplyDeleteThanks! :)
DeleteYes it is a much cooler way of doing giveaways, fun survey!
ReplyDeleteThank you for making it international, I've read your book is amazing.
I completed the survey :D Great questions :)
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for the awesome, international giveaway :D
I took the survey ;-)
ReplyDeleteTook the survey! :)
ReplyDelete-Maddi
Took the survey.
ReplyDeleteQuestion #5 I picked other because I like hauntings and ghosts.
I just took the survey :) Awesome giveaway. This is a really fun way to do a giveaway I have to say. Loved the questions!
ReplyDeleteI was really stuck on question 3 though because I love books with a romantic element but if it's not there I don't mind it either. And then I was thinking to myself, "wait a minute, most of the books you are reading right now, have a romance" LOL.
And I might be in the minority here, but I always love the shy and sweet guy in YA that has like a quiet strength. Granted, I usually fall for them all sometimes but my immediate reaction is to be a bit skeptical about the dark and mysterious guy until he has proven to have some depth and have no traces of being a jerk.
Those were great questions. It will be interesting to see the results when they are posted. =) Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteJust found you and your giveaway through Twitter (social media works!) Thank you for sharing the extra ARCs; if I win, is it okay to put the ARC up on my online auction, Pens for Paws? It's a fundraiser with writers and artists for Fat Kitty City. And happy release day May 1!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely!!
DeleteI just took the survey! It was short, but fun. And argh! You made me choose my perfect type of love interest. That was some serious deciding, yes.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway! :)
I just finished taking the survey. =) There were some really good questions on there, and I'm really looking forward to the results and to see what everyone had to say!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the giveaway. I can't wait to read Sweet Evil! =)
So excited for your release and thank you for the giveaway chance.
ReplyDeleteSafari Poet
I just finished the survey. I can't wait to read this. I still remember it back from when I was a newbie on inkpop.
ReplyDeleteTotally random (and you may not see this!) but do you know what the song was on the book trailer by any random chance?
ReplyDelete
